Customs Duties & Import Taxes (Deliveries Outside the EU)
For deliveries to countries outside the European Union (EU), additional costs may arise over which we have no control.
How are the costs composed?
Upon import into the destination country, additional fees may be incurred by the relevant authorities and the shipping service provider, such as:
These fees are not levied by us, but are calculated directly by the shipping service provider or customs authorities and billed to the recipient.
Product Classification (HS Code)
The following international commodity code applies to our products:
HS Code: 6307.90.98
This code serves as the basis for customs classification worldwide and influences the amount of possible duties in the respective destination country.
How are import costs calculated?
The calculation is not uniform internationally.
Authorities often base their calculations on the total value of the shipment (e.g., merchandise value and, if applicable, shipping costs). However, in some countries, different rules apply – for example, that shipping costs are not included.
In addition, please note:
The actual costs incurred can therefore vary greatly and cannot be predicted in general terms.
Important Notes
Why we do not calculate or cover these fees in advance
In the past, we tried to calculate customs and tax costs in advance and handle them for our customers to create more transparency.
Unfortunately, this model is not economically viable for us:
This results in additional fees of sometimes over €50 per order, which are not covered by the value of the goods.
For this reason, we are unfortunately unable to offer this service centrally or cover the costs in advance. We ask for your understanding in this matter.
Our Tip
We recommend that you inform yourself about the import regulations of the respective country before ordering, to better estimate possible additional costs.
