Product description

Hardly any other carrying aid is as versatile as a sling: with different tying methods, it can be used from birth to toddler age and always optimally adapted to the changing needs of the sling and the wearer.

Admittedly: It does take a little practice to tie the scarf optimally and quickly, but if you keep at it, you will be rewarded with a unique and comfortable wearing experience!

In front of the belly, on the hip, on the back, with different centres of gravity and weight shifting, with further uses as a blanket, pad, baby hammock and swing - a sling is comfortable, practical and fun.

Still little known, but a hot tip for learning how to tie a sling easily and well is a carrying consultation or a carrying course: personnel specially trained by carrying schools advise and help with the correct handling of the sling so that carrying is always a pleasure.

Our slings are woven in four weaves: cross twill, diamond twill, honeycomb and herringbone. All types of fabric have wonderful sling properties due to their diagonal elasticity. The centre of the sling is marked with a sewn-in tag, the ends are bevelled and edges are comfortably double-stitched.

If the desired length is not currently available, you are welcome to contact us personally. In individual cases, it is possible to shorten scarves to the desired length free of charge.

Besonderheiten 2. Wahl Produkte

All unsere Produkte entstehen in Handarbeit.

Details plant colour

We are proud to present you our collection dyed purely with plant dyes. We are particularly pleased because this brings together two traditional Mayan techniques, thus ensuring that the tradition is maintained and passed on.

We were able to win over a small cooperative of Tz'utujil Maya with their traditional knowledge of plant dyeing for a collaboration and are very happy about the cooperation!

So now we have a baby carrier made of 100% untreated cotton, exclusively dyed with the power of nature, handmade.

Please note that plant dyes can never be 100% lightfast. Depending on the type of plant used, the colour will be a little lighter, sometimes a little stronger. But that is the nature of natural products - this is not a quality defect!

Merigold is dyed with a plant with the Latin name Tagetes Lucida. In German, among other things, known as winter tarragon or velvet flower. The plant is among other things popular for tea or so as a spice in the kitchens. Unlike our also available design Fresh Merigold, here the dried plant is used, which leads to a softer shade.

Suitable for

Newborn to toddlers

Washing instructions

Machine washable up to 60 degrees if there is no other way.

For the usual wash, however, we recommend a temperature of 30 degrees to preserve the colors of your plant-dyed baby sling.

Please note that due to the vegetable dyeing and the absence of chemicals at the beginning of a dyeing may occur. Therefore, wash your scarf separately from other garments during the first wash.

Please never use fabric softener.

What length of cloth do I need?

What length of cloth do I need?

One of the questions we receive most often is the question of the right sling length. The required length of the sling depends mainly on the chosen tying method and the dress size of the wearer. The size or age of your baby, on the other hand, does not play a major role.

In our article we explain the most common binding methods.
